This is an ancient Pre-Columbian vessel from the Chancay culture (1100-1400CE) which was centralized around present day Lima in Peru. The vessel features a monkey eating a piece of fruit and monochromatic geometric designs throughout. The piece is in good condition with minor wear consistent with the piece’s age. This would make a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection.
This is a Japanese shizuoka lacquer tray dating to the Meiji Period (1868-1912). The tray features abalone and quail shell accents and a scene of sasa dwarf bamboo along with chrysanthemums. The piece has had restoration on the lacquer and had some minor flaking around the edge of the piece. This would make a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection.

This is a Terminal Classic period toad effigy vessel from the Chiapas area of Mexico, dating to circa 800 – 1000 CE. This Tohil Plumbate jar has characteristics expected of reduction fired vessels from Soconusco. It depicts a toad replete with parotid glands, most likely a Cane Toad or Bufo Marinus. The piece is in superb condition, with good mineral deposits and trails covering the lustrous metallic sheen of a slip.

This is an antique Japanese smoking box made done in fine lacquer work dating to the Meiji Period (1868-1912). The box features a very well done landscape scene on all four sides. The box has three drawers which would have been used to store smoking accessories. The box is in very good condition with some minor restoration and would make a great addition to anyone’s collection.
These are three Pre-Columbian ceramic puppet heads from the Salinar culture of Peru (200BCE - 200CE) during the Early Horizon Epoch of Peruvian development (circa 900BCE – 200CE). Each of the heads while similar has differences in the eyes, mouth and ears. The heads are in excellent condition and would make a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection.
This is an ancient Chinese ceramic horse and rider dating to the Han Dynasty (206BCE – 220CE). The horse and rider have details of black and red paint throughout and is still partially covered with a layer of burial dirt. The horse and rider are in good condition with some ware consistent with age. This would be an excellent addition to anyone’s collection.
This is a Japanese ningyō of Shōki slaying an oni dating to the late Edo Period, circa 19th century. The story of Shōki involves a man who passed his imperial examinations and received top honors, but was stripped of the title due to his ugly appearance. This is an antique Japanese wood netsuke featuring a women holding a fine and opening her coat. The piece is finely carved with wonderful details throughout. The netsuke has been signed by “Gyokuzan”. The piece dates to the Meiji period during the 19th century. The netsuke is in excellent condition and would make a great addition to anyone’s collection
