This is a small Pre-Columbian bowl with rounded footing, circa 200BC-600AD. It is designed with red and yellow swirls and geometric carving. There is black residue consistent with age along the inside of the piece. There is a small crack along the top rim and a repaired chip (see photographs).

This spouted stirrup vessel is from the Teotihuacan, pre-Aztec culture in Mexico, circa 1300. It is red glazed with a faint white abstract design painted on the body. This terracotta vessel shows magnesium deposits on the surface, a testament to its age and authenticity. A Pre-Columbian piece originating from the Chancay culture of Northern Peru. The vessel is painted medium brown with geometric patterns outlined in white around the rim and body of the piece. Seated atop the vessel is a monkey eating a seed pod. It is fully intact with the exception of a slightly chipped rim that has been glued together (see photo). This Chavin vessel from Peru is an early piece dating to pre-200 BC. It features a incised leaf-like design around the base of the piece, and subtle shades of orange and red throughout. It is really an aesthetically pleasing piece to view in person. This vessel has been restored from broken pieces, and only about 5% was newly restored. A wonderful addition for any collection!

Bowls like this one characteristically feature three sturdy feet and relatively straight sides. This piece depicts a strong geometric motif painted in red and cream, with incised details. An ancient pre-Columbian Chimu, or Chancay, blackware stirrup vessel. The frieze of this piece features stylized monkeys around the body of vessel. There is also a small monkey figure seated on handle. There is a slight chip on the inside of the lip, and a scratch on the side of the spout. There is also a long crack running across one whole side.
