This antique Chinese robe is made from blue damask woven silk with a petal collar and bottom trim. It has fine silk embroidery on white silk satin with couched metallic details. It is fully lined with peach damask woven silk. The five buttons are unusual as they are flat with double crane and cloud designs. The back of the buttons are marked, “R & G Treble Gilt.” (English buttons for Chinese use.) Circa late 19th century, Ch’ing Dynasty. There is some damage to the lining.

The antique Chinese wedding skirt if made from red damask woven silk, embroidered with mostly blue and white satin stitch. It has an unusual design on the front and back panel. There are parrots and goldfish designs on the pleated portions done so they show a complete design when the pleats are closed. It also has tea trade ribbon trim.
