This is an antique Japanese boxwood netsuke in the form of Jurojin, one of the Seven Lucky Gods of Japanese mythology. Jurojin is associated with longevity. The netsuke is finely carved as noted in the photographs. The piece dates to the Meiji period during the 19th century. The netsuke in is excellent condition and would make a great addition to anyone’s collection.
