A stunning Polo-Popular table lamp designed by the Bauhaus teacher Christian Dell, circa 1931.
Manufactered by Bünte und Remmler, Frankfurt am Main.
Black lacquered steel base, shade and upright. Shade with integral bakelite switch. Ball joints at shade and base.
Marked BuR / 2 to the underside of the base.
A variant of Dell's famous Rondella lamp. A fabulous piece of rare Bauhaus design: a great investment prospect and a must for any serious collector of modernism.

Sculpture of the Inuit is descended from the ancient craft of carving, honed for generations on the land. Most objects traditionally made were useful in very specific ways. A nomadic people could take little else with them besides the tools of their daily living.
