An ovoid porcelain vase delicately painted with crustaceans among seashells on a graduated pale green ground. Signed on the base by the maker: MAKUZU GAMA KOZAN SEI. Dimensions: 9" high. Date: circa 1900 Excellent condition (slight interior rim flake). Makuzu Kozan was an Imperial Court artist and was considered one of the greatest potters of the Meiji period.
