A Very Fine Dark Lacquer Square Box/Cover: Japan, Meiji Period, This is a beautiful round corners dark lacquer square box painted in gold and silver chrysanthemums and paulownia leaves on the cover and around box on the dark black lacquered surface, its interiors red lacquered.. The box and cover are in almost perfect condition without any minor damages. Measures: 7” x 7 3/4” x 7 3/4” (17.8cm x 19.7cm x 19.7cm)
