| An Extremely Rare Korean Koryo Total Iron-Brown Coated Bottle Vase-13th C.: Korea, Koryo dynasty, 13th Century The well potted globular stoneware body set on a raised foot, with a narrow short neck and everted rim, entirely applied with an iron-brown (öª‰) on the surfaces, some arears have little thicker iron-brown glaze(öª‰). Please note: Extant examples of a coated with a total iron brown bottle including this bottle, but not iron black glazed examples, are extremely rare in Koryo era. *** Iron-brown glazed ware was fired after a glaze with a high iron content was applied directly to the body, black-glazed ware had a higher content of iron in the glaze.
