| A Korean Very Rare and Fine Pyung-Yang Castle 6 Panel Continues Screen-19th C: Korea, Joseon period, 19th century A vert rare continues pane Pyung-Yang Capitol city including Dae-Dong River screen painted in ink and color on paper, Pyung-Yang capitol’s famous places, pavilions, temples, gates, mountain peacks and other places’ names written in ink. Stylistically, the painting combines the “pictorial record” style with the landscape-style map, the city of Pyong-Yang is depicted from a consistent spatial pont of view with a single picture plane. Unfortunately, two panels of 8 panel screen was missed, otherwise its condition is in very fine with this aged Korean screen. It measures 33cm x 91cm for each pane painting only, 33cm x 171 cm for each pane and 216cm x 171cm for whole screen. | ||
