Japanese Antique Textile Asa Katazome Han-juban
This is an asa han-juban ( short under kimono ) which has an elaborate and rare pattern which is katazome ( stencil-resist-dyeing ). It is made of hand spun and handwoven asa cloth and dyed with natural indigo. In excellent condition except for several tiny holes ( 1mm x 2mm ). Late Meiji or Taisho period ( 1900s~1920s ). 120cm x 65cm 47" x 25"1/2
