A writing box veneered in wonderful Fruitwood and adorned with brass. It opens up to reveal a writing surface in which it is embellished in an elegant gilt design and hidden compartments to store writing implements of sorts. The top opens up to uncover a large place to put things and the bottom does likewise (as photographed). The writing box has working lock mechanisms with key. Overall, the box is in good condition.
