| Victorian dragonfly pin, circa 1850s. Sterling silver pin measures 1 3/4in long by 2in wide and contains the following gemstones: twenty-eight sapphires, two rubies, and various tiny diamonds. Situated in the center of the body, the largest sapphire is about 7mmx5mm while two rubies as the eyes rest on top of it. The wings contain eighteen different sized oval sapphires, separated by diamonds, and the tail has nine round sapphires. A very detailed piece that is still in great condition.
