| Chancay stacked bulbous bowl vessel ca 1100 - 1450 AD. Nicely painted with depictions of fish and varied motifs of geometric designs enclosed in panels on circumference of each of three bowls. Opposing small triangles at rim of vessel. Each stacked bowl has two opposing frogs attached near apex. Cream background with matte dark chocolate designs. Interesting piece. One frog has tip of nose chipped. A few very minor calcifications or root marks. 7.75 inches/19.6 cm tall by 4.75 inches/12 cm wide. Private New Jersey collection acquired pre 1970.
