This unusual ink stone has a fitted lid of the same quarried duane stone as its base. A playful foo dog with a ball is carved on the lid and there is an animal carved on two of the lid's sides. Calligraphy on the bottom of the ink stone. Purchased several years ago in QuiYang in Guizhou province, it is in excellent condition. Measures approximately 5" x 4" x 1.25" deep

A stunning very high quality porcelain Mirror Black vase with 98% of the gold gilt still intact. This design style is known as precious objects and is beautifully rendered in fine detail. The gold gilt is old gold and thickly applied. There is a little wear to the gold on the neck and foot area (see photos). We know by the wiring that his vase was converted to a lamp around 1910. This Qing Dynasty cloisonne box dates late 19th to pre-1910. Exhibiting a beautiful patina, the box is composed of brass with copper on the exterior. There is a very small area of enamel loss on the lid as can be seen in photo #3. Otherwise in excellent condition and a real visual pleasure, the box measures 3"x 3”. We have a matching vase, see item # 791967

Pictured is a wonderful 19th century Chinese wood panel carved in deep relief of court scenes depicting daily life. Incorporated into the floors and grassy areas are bits of reflective shell or mica. On the gold gilt border, drawn in black, are horses, maidens, scroll work and fauna. Aside from some insect damage in the upper left corner, this panel is in very good condition. Dating to late Qing, early Republic, 1910-20 is this squat underglaze blue jar with original lid. A phoenix flanked by 2 large peonies adorns the jar’s front and sides. This particular shape is getting increasingly hard to find. In very good condition, it measures approximately 9” x 9” (22.9 cm x 22.9 cm).

A very large late 19th/early 20th C nephrite jade spill vase. This vase is carved with many cockscomb flowers, two birds and a large insect. It measures 7" high x 4.5" wide (17.8 cm x 11.4 cm) and weighs about 5 lbs. A shekwan mudman from the late 19th century with the reversed letter 'N' from the impressed stamp 'CHINA' from the underside, the details are simply stunning and the facial features say it all! Circa 1890, Chinese paktong and cloisonne tobacco box with copper trim. It is unusual to see a box like this to be made of paktong rather than solid copper. The background is a deep rust/red with some of the other colors being cobalt blue, lime green, bright yellow, turquoise, and pink and has a wonderful warm patina. The inside of the lid is marker CHINA. In very good condition, it measures 3 1/8” high x 3 1/8 (7 cm) wide x 1.7/8" deep.

A large 19 inch tall Qing Dynasty, Guangxu Period famille-verte porcelain jar with lid. The court scenes on the jar are very well rendered in vibrant enamels. The lid depicts children at play. Guaranteed authentic, note the small pig bristle dots indicative of the period. In excellent condition, it measures 19 inches (48.3 cm) high x 11 inches (27.9 cm) diameter.
