An exquisite gold silk brocade weave wedding kimono with subtle touches of white, green, and aubergine. The pattern consists of peacocks in a floral motif. The lining is benibana red rinzu silk with a floral and shibori pattern. This piece may have been used as either a theater costume or a wedding kimono. There is some fraying on one shoulder where it was folded (see last photo) Measures 48"wide x 63" long.
