| A beautiful example of a Jizhou bowl with paper cut designs of dragons dating to the Southern Song Dynasty (1121-1279 AD). A lovely rabbits fur adorns the cavetto while the backside features the famous tortoise shell look. All the appropriate age wear to the glaze can be observed, including a kiln scar in the cavetto that is a ghost image of another foot ring from another bowl that was placed inside when stacked for cooling, all of which lends to the authenticity of this genuine and rare Chinese Jizhou bowl. Formerly from a Japanese collection Size is 6.4 inches (16.5 cm) wide by 2.75 inches high. | ||||||||||
