| A extremely rare 18th century lacquered cosmetic box with M.O.P. inlay. A special feature to this treasure is that it also set in gold wire, interspersed with silver foil. In the center of the geometric stars are diamond shaped pieces of gold, just wonderful! The main theme is a large garden flower with two micro well formed butterflies, the details and workmanship are fantastic. All pieces are intact and the box is one of the best preserved specimens from the 18th century. Size is 2.75" (7 cm) in diameter and 1.5" (3.8 cm) high | |||||||||
