An absolutely gorgeous hand carved French casket with fruitwood, rosewood, and satinwood marquetry. The detailing throughout the whole casket is excellent with the inside lid also featuring marquetry. The inside of the box is lined with dark blue velvet and has a lovely lift-out tray. Ideal for jewelry, the box still has its original key and the lock works. In excellent condition with a beautiful rich warm patina, it measures 11.5 inches by 7.25" and 4.75" high. Circa 1980-1910. Guaranteed not to disappoint.
