Beautiful chest of draws in walnut with great color and proportions. Bold ogee bracket feet, fluted corner columns make these Pennsylvania chests the epitome of American chippendale furniture. This chest is probably from Lancaster County. Case Width 37", depth 21", height 34". Feet and the handmade brasses are replacements.

Diminutive American two draw stand in mahogany with secondary woods of poplar and white pine. This is more of a transitional piece with the top draw being rounded and the lower draw as found on most stands. Replaced pulls, newer finish. Width 20 3/4", depth 16 1/2", height 28 5/8".

This is an old and rare New England corner chair in the William and Mary tradition with block and turned legs and ring and vase turned stretchers. The front leg ends in a spanish foot while the other feet are rounded and taper to a small disk at the bottom. The splats are probably a very early addition to the chair as they evidence an old green paint which is found on the rest of the chair. The splint seat is new. Nice small sized Federal card table in beautiful dense mahogany. Table leafs have an astragal moulded edge, the cuffed legs have a good taper and form to them. Secondary woods are white pine and poplar in the draw, yellow pine and oak rails in the base. Brasses are replaced. Width 34', depth 17", height 29".

Wonderful two-draw stand in dense mahogany with shaped top, and finely tapered and splayed legs. The secondary wood is poplar; the brasses appear to be the original. Width 23 3/4", depth 16 3/4", height 29 3/4"

A possibly rare stenciled pier table in what appears to be the original surface. Unlike most New York tables of the period this particular one has two different cornucopia's in the base. The one on the left with corn and wheat, the other with grapes and fruits. Attributed to the Meeks brothers--fine New York cabinet makers of the early 19th century in New York. Marble top is 42" x 21", case is 38" x 19", height 35". Great size and proportions!

This bed stood in the Winterthur Museum for approximately 40 years and appears in the book 'American Furniture, The Federal Period', by Charles Montgomery, catalog #2. In 1929 it appeared in the 'Loan Exhibition of Early Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century Furniture & Glass, For the Benefit of the National Girls Scouts', catalog #706. Nicely proportioned tea table in walnut. Probably Pennsylvania, although this particular form is found in New England and Virginia as well. All components in walnut. Height 28 1/2", width with the grain 36", width against the grain 35 1/4", overall height when tilted 47 3/4"

A most unusual, rare, and intriquing desk which appears to have been specifically made to fit into a particular space on a ship. The entire case (standard butler's desk) is built at an angle! Written in pencil on the interior bottom boards is the word Octorara. The USS Octorara was a gunboat built at the Brooklyn Navy Yard in 1861.
