| Alfred Jackson (1842-1912) was in the jewellery trade in England and convicted of a crime in 1864. As a result he was transported to Perth, Western Australia where he arrived in 1866. He was paroled in 1875 and set up his own business in Fremantle (not far from where our shop is now). He moved to Geraldton in 1885 and 2 years later to Albany. His pieces seldom come on the market. This 9ct Gold Bar Brooch has a central star set blue stone and measures 1 3/4" (46mm). Clear marks to rear. Excellent condition. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED. | |
