| Ball-vase from Axel Bruel's own studio, that he opened at the end of the 1920ies. The vase is a good example for his rustic ceramic design with a rough applied transparent decoration. The body of the vase is covered with a thin brownish ceramic layer on which the decoration is applied. The inside of the vase is coated with a white glaze. Neck and handle are uncovered. At top of the neck smaller pieces of the covering layer are spalled off. A little drop of the inside glaze got on the corpus outside (see picture series), which is underlining the rustic expression. An item which is rarely seen. | ||
