An Extremely Rare set of six scalloped-edged French creamware, polychrome plates made by (Freres) Faiencerie Delavigne, Le Havre, France, c. 1805, examples of which are in the Victoria and Albert museum, London, and the Musee des Arts at de lEnfance, Fecamp France. Each plate has an impressed mark, L. Delavigne au Havre and a number. 9 ½ diam., some staining and fritting to edges, firing crack to one plate.

An extremely fine Straw-Work box or case, made by Napoleonic French Prisoners of War, & dating to circa 1800. Straw-Work gained popularity in the UK during the late 18th / 19th century, after it was brought to the attention of the wider British public by the French & Dutch prisoners-of-war from the French Revolutionary & Napoleonic Wars, who were held in British prisons until around 1815.
