An outstanding Georgian Oak Linen Press, c. 1770, the upper section with breakfront having ogee molded cornice and center rectangular fielded panel with similar fielded paneled doors to either side, the base with four square fielded panels and five various drawers on a lovely figured skirt with ogee bracket feet, all having fine color and patina. A fine Salem, MA, early Queen Anne highboy, c. 1740, walnut with maple sides. The piece was originally owned by the Stanley family of Marblehead, MA and remained in the family until the last quarter of the 20th century. Everything is original to the piece, including the brasses, with the exception of the returns, all of which were missing and recently replaced and may be removed if desired.
