An outstanding early barrel back yellow Southern pine architectural corner cupboard from the mid-Atlantic region. One-piece with top section having three shelves with plate groove. Domed opening flanked by flat reeded columns. Top cornice with decorative dental molding and carved frieze. Remnants of old blue and red paint. Bottom section with two paneled doors which open to reveal one shelf. Applied bracket base with good cutouts. 84” h. x 52” w. across front x 17.75” d., shelf depth.

A fine Salem, MA, early Queen Anne highboy, c. 1740, walnut with maple sides. The piece was originally owned by the Stanley family of Marblehead, MA and remained in the family until the last quarter of the 20th century. Everything is original to the piece, including the brasses, with the exception of the returns, all of which were missing and recently replaced and may be removed if desired. A black painted banister back side chair, probably Connecticut, early 18th c., the lightly shaped crest above three split spindles flanked by turned tapering stiles and a trapezoidal needlepoint seat which overhangs the turned legs joined by a bulbous ring-turned medial stretcher. 42” h.
