A handsome vase brought back from a "Grand Tour" trip to Egypt in the late 19th century. Hand hammered and formed bronze vase of heavy and large proportions, with chased and damascened light and dark metal decorations depicting traditional Egyptian tomb wall painting scenes, and even the pyramids. Made only with hand tools. Traces of the original forming pitch remain under the rolled rim. Measures 24cm tall, weighs 2kg
