Lovely Nepalese kukri (khukuri) dagger with horn and metal hilt, and heavily ornamented sheath. The sheath may have originally housed another blade, but they fit well. The sheath is a Kothimora style presentation piece, with silver repousse panels, gold washed panels, red velvet, inlaid stones, and a woven silver chain. Small leather sheath on the back, but missing the side knives. Circa 1900 The Kukri measuring 27cm overall, along the outside curve.

A classic and very hard to find Tibetan short sword dating to the 19th century, with accompanying scabbard. Single edged, 15inch (38cm) blade with thick spine, leather wrapped wooden handle of flattened rectangular cross section, flattened trefoil brass pommel with peened over full tang. Traditional Tibetan brass guard. Wooden core scabbard wrapped with the traditional U-shaped full iron chape, pierced, chased, overlaid in gold with Tibetan and Chinese designs.
