This lovely cotton-canvas sakabukuro (or sakebukuro) is made from Shina-fu natural fiber-fabric, dyed with persimmon juice (kaki-shibu) which creates a natural brown color due to the tanning in the juice. This mid1900s Japanese furoshiki (portable-wrapping-cloth) depicts a Tengu character, a supernatural creature found in Japanese folklore, on the each corner. The furoshiki is made from sturdy cotton and dyed in dark brown. Along with Tengu image, there are three business phone numbers in Osaka, Japan (The ladies department, The gentleman's department, The evening contact). It is graphically very unique and humorous.

The interior of this Japanese Men's haori depicts an auspicious takarabune-boat, which carries a variety of tresures. The boat itself is a large lobster and it is surrounded by more auspicious motifs, such as snappers and corals. The exterior of the haori is solid black and five mon-crests, which is the most formal attire.

This sakiori obi is wider width and the pattern is also simple. The mixture of red, white, and very minimum of black yarns are used and we believe that silk and other material are woven together. The obi will create a lovely holiday decoration. There is a small rip at the end of the obi (approximately 1/4") as the image shows and there are some very small stains, almost invisible, on one side; otherwise it is in excellent condition. Ca.
