This lovely cotton-canvas sakabukuro (or sakebukuro) is made from Shina-fu natural fiber-fabric, dyed with persimmon juice (kaki-shibu) which creates a natural brown color due to the tanning in the juice. This country style hippari jacket was probably worn by a young girl because of its small size. The hippari has two pair of ties to close the front and small "air pockets" under both arms. This sakiori obi is wider width and the pattern is also simple. The mixture of red, white, and very minimum of black yarns are used and we believe that silk and other material are woven together. The obi will create a lovely holiday decoration.
