This Japanese sake-bukuro bag has very attractive mendings and aged patinas as the images show. The bag is made from cotton canvas and it was dyed with persimmon juice to enhance its strength. The frugal beauty is certainly manifested on this fabric. One side of the bag is tone due to the age and use. Ca. Early to mid 1900s. This charming pair of Japanese Daikokuten & Ebisu wooden figures possesses an attractive patina of the history they own. These figures are considered as two of seven Lucky Gods, shichifuku-jin, in Japan.
