You are looking at a Russian German Imperial Egg Box.
Made in the early 1900's by famous German silversmith
Markus Mayer. The silver egg box, made in Germany,
and was exported and sold for Russian Imperial Market.
Stamped with M.M. (Markus Mayer) and silver German
standard stamp 800. The silver box in the a size of a pigeon
egg, gilted inside with double headed russian imperial eagle
on the top of the egg box. Beautiful, rare, and original item.

Imperial Russian gilded silver
cloisonne enamel kovsh
THE DIMENSIONS ARE: 3.5" IN LENGTH,
2" IN WIDTH AND 1.5" IN HEIGHT.
The entire body is covered with an
incredible work of cloisonne enamel made of
many colors. Finely detailed with front imperial eagle
and floral forms.

We do not know its age (our guess would
be around the turn of the century 1890's)
