The Sinu gold and Tumbaga realistically depicts the fauna of the region. This finial shows a pair of "Pisingos" (tree ducks) with flat beaks, fanned tails and folded wings.

PRE-COLUMBIAN bird, Staff Head, Sinu, Colombia. This finial depicts a bird (probably a kingfisher or humming bird ) typical of the Sinu region. The beak is closed, the wings folded and the head decorated with braid work.Tumbaga.
