| PRE-COLUMBIAN HUMAN CERAMIC FIGURE (Pair - see JM010) CHANCO culture, 2000 years before The QUIMBAYA culture. A seated female figure, common in the middle Cauca Valley (COLOMBIA) in the earlier period. With long curving legs, the face with deeply slit features and decorated with remains of ocher stripes. Head and forehead pierced along the top and front for decorating probably with feathers. Arms with constricting bands at the wrist and upper arms. Constricting bands also at the knees.The feet are elephant like which makes them for earlier period. Measuring 8 1/4" 6 3/4" Please email me for more Pictures. Price includes JM011 + JM010 | |
