A very fine quality late 19th century Tibetan prayer wheel. The cylinder of silver with silver-gilt rosettes and 3 turquoise cabochons. The solid silver weight attached to an ornate silver chain and with an additional small silver hook with a turquoise cabochon inlaid(purpose of the hook unknown). The wooden handle with ivory fittings and the cylinder surmounted by an ivory finial. Contained within the cylinder is a roll of prayers well wrapped in fine yellow silk. Overall length: 24cm. A 19th century Tibetan short sword. Traditional 'u' shaped iron framed scabbard with silver plaque inset with carnelian and corals. At the base is a raised, engraved silver knob. The wire bound iron hilt with inset jasper (?). Single edged blade with fine and very clear watered lamination pattern. Overall length in scabbard 61cm. Blade length: 43cm. A Tibetan archer's arm guard - 'bracer'. These were worn on the left forearm to protect the archer's arm as the bow string returned from arrow release. Made of iron, pierced and engraved overall behind which is leather backed fabric with gold thread. A brass arm strap - possibly a replacement has been attached with wire and additional leather straps. Length: 24cm. A very rare item.

Yamantaka is depicted here in sexual union (Yab-Yum)with his consort, Vajravetali. The quality of the painting on such a small scale is incredible. I have not seen a better Tsakali painting. On the reverse is a empowerment mantra in red ink. 18th century, Tibet. Size: 7.5cm x 9.5cm

An exceptional bone carving of the Dakini Vajravarahi. Probably from the center of a bone apron. She can be identified by the sow's head at the top left of her skull crown. A very special piece. 19th century or earlier. length:15.5cm.
