A very well preserved embroidered silk apron, decorated with small glass mirrors in brass mounts and metal paillets. China, late 19th/early 20th century. H. 83 cm. W. 105 cm. Condition: embroidery is in mint condition, some pieces of glass and a few metal paillets missing.
Adorable embroidered silk children's jacket. Considering the elaborate embroidery on both sides this was probably a festival jacket. China, late 19th/early 20th century. Dimensions: H. 35 cm , W. 83 cm. Condition: expected wear, discoloring, stains and a few holes in the silk top layer. The glass eyes of the dragon on the back are missing.
A rare and unusual purse with rank badge embroidery in gold thread. China, 2nd half 19th century. Size: 25x25cm. Condition: age wear to the embroidery. Note: this is not a later purse made of rank badges. Front and back are one long piece of embroidery.
