With an overglaze decoration of foo dogs and peonies. China, ca. 1620-1640. H. 16 cm. Condition: 1,5 cm hairline crack at the mouth, minor chips to the footrim.
Very well carved and finely engraved. 19th century, possibly earlier. Signed at the bottom. On a later hardwood stand. L. 10 cm, H. 7 cm (excl. stand) Condition: minor chips to the right hand side of the foot and to the end of the dress.
A rare set, these Chinese boys. Carved in wood, then gessoed and painted. Very fine facial expressions and detailed decorations on the clothing. China, early 19th century. The figures are fixed on the later black stands. H. 27 cm. (excl. stand) Condition: one hand broken and repaired, some fingers missing, chips and flaking to the gesso and painting.
With a wonderful green patina. Excavated in Cambodia and dating from the 17th or 18th century. Length: ca. 10 cm (4 inches) each. Mounted on custom made stands.
Finely engraved, with excellent dark patina. Two engraved names at the back. China, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). H. 34 cm. Condition: casting flaws (typical for Ming bronzes), ome curl missing at the foot of the figure.
