Likely a fragment of a longer embroidered valence. Style is referred to as "Point de Beauvais. The ground is a tan-colored fine linen. Professionally framed by Artists Frame Service Inc, Chicago, with "Tru Vue Museum" glass (cuts out most reflection and 97% of UV). Good condition, with many minor wears and restitches in ground and embroidery. Textile is 16"x40", framed 24.5"x 49".
