Unknown provenance. An uncommon style of embroidery. When originally framed, the frame back had written in an old-style writing "97 W.R. Williams", which perhaps indicates that the item was framed in 1897, and that the framer or the owner was W.R. Williams. Very good condition. 29"x 12".
circa 1750-1825. England or U.S. Wool and silk needlepoint. Needlepoint cut from a chair. A mixture of gros and petit-point. Some wear but in very good condition for age. 24"x 23".
circa 1600-1650. England. Silk tent-stitch embroidery. Lightly and evenly worn, in exceptional condition for it's age. Original border intact. 15"x 82".
circa 1725-1825. Old needlepoint with gros and petit-point, irregularly cut, perhaps from back of chair. The huntsman has a somewhat dimensional quality due to shiny silk highlights on his clothing, as well as raised buttons. Fragment is in good condition. 21"x 14"
circa 1875-1925. Gold and silver metal embroidery and silk embroidery covering entire textile. Gold threaded border. No backing. Original four brass 1" rings along top to insert into rod for hanging. Excellent condition with very slight overall wear. 25"x 35".
Unusual wool and metal thread cross-stitch on felted flannel wool navy-blue base. Very good condition with several tiny holes within base and slight color-loss at textile edge. Probably created during early 18oo's. It is assumed that the original purpose was a blanket. Not hemmed. 66"x 50"
