France 1850-1880 A well- preserved 19th century curtain panel in printed chintz with the glaze still intact. The pattern is a romantic blend of flower garlands and picturesque ruins. The sateen lining has darkened , and there is a small tear on one edge. The chintz hem on that edge is torn as well. On the whole, an astonishingly intact and usuable curtain as can be seen from the images. The bottom edge of the panel measures 121" and is 57" high.

$1,000

France or Italy Second half 18th century (1750-1800) Unusual textile with over-embroidered chenille and silver & gold metal threads onto a silk damask background. Also unusual is the 2 cm wide hand-made border utilizing a complex unfamiliar technique. Due to all the over-embroidery, the damask background understandably does not lie perfectly flat. Excellent condition, with no staining or loose threads. 16" x 40".
