Payment may be made via a personal or certified check; a money
order; a wire transfer; directly with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover; or with any major credit card via Paypal. Personal checks from unknown customers are
held for seven business days to allow the transaction to clear. For the fastest service,
we recommend using a credit card. In the interest of preventing fraud, we only
ship to confirmed addresses for Paypal customers.
All items are shipped via the US Postal Service. Shipping fees will be calculated according to the size and weight of the items purchased and their destination. Although we make every effort to package all items safely, Janus Antiquities cannot accept responsibility for damage caused during shipping unless an appropriate amount of insurance is purchased by the buyer. Please email us for a shipping quote and we will happily provide our best estimate. We welcome international buyers given the following qualifications:
Payment must be made in U.S. dollars. We only accept payment made for the exact price of the item and shipping - we've seen the scams, we know how it works. :-)
Reservation of Items: Upon verbal or written confirmation of an intent to purchase an item, Janus Antiquities will hold the item in question and list it as "RESERVED" in our inventory. Unless an extension is expressly granted, items will be taken off reserve after one week unless payment has been received. Items will be listed as "SOLD" once payment has arrived and cleared. In the event that an item is placed on reserve without subsequent payment, the item will be relisted at its original price. Inquiries may be made on items currently under reserve; if payment is not received from the original customer, the opportunity to purchase will be extended to the next inquiry received and will proceed through subsequent inquiries in the order in which they were received. PLEASE NOTE that items will NOT be reserved for customers who have failed to provide payment for items reserved in the past unless permission is expressly granted by Janus Antiquities.
Our Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity: Janus Antiquities guarantees that all items are authentic as described. To this end a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) will be issued for each item or lot purchased. The COA will include the description and dating from the item's listing. This certificate endows the original purchaser of the item or lot with the right to return the item at any time in the future -- as long as our company is still in business, we will honor a return on any item and refund the purchase price. The extent of this refund will not exceed the purchase price of the item and does not cover costs accrued during shipping or authentication. Items will only be accepted for return if they are accompanied by a written statement describing your rationale for the return. Please note that all items must be in the same state as when sold to be eligible for return; any and all testing, display, and or use of your purchase must be non-destructive. Condition of Items: Please realize that all of our items are of considerable age. Accordingly, most show varying degrees of wear or structural damage and are sold as such. We have done our utmost to accurately describe the state of all items, but it is the responsibility of the buyer to confirm the state of any items that s/he intends to purchase prior to making payment. Should you have any questions about the condition, purpose, or history of any item, please ask - we want you to be confident and happy with your purchase! We can easily provide additional photos of any object. Please note that various props and stands are used for photographic purposes; these are not included with the item unless stated in the item listing. However, we can provide custom stands for any item for a small fee - please inquire if interested. |
