Here are two masterpiece Bizen tokkuri showing the balance of what made 20th century Bizen become vital again and how that transformed into 21st century Bizen. The left tokkuri in the main photo is a yohen firing 'kimono lady leaning forward pouring sake' form by Kakurezaki Ryuichi(b.1950). The form is pure Kakurezaki taking the 'baton' from Living National Treasure Fujiwara Kei's (1899-1983) Momoyama period 16th century inspired 'pearl onion' form.
