A true masterpiece of contemporary hakuji--white porcelain--by acclaimed ceramic artist Maeta Akihiro--more about Maeta in our archives. This is a first-rank work of his that he made recently and was exhibited and shown in his most recent Mitsukoshi exhibition catalog, a copy of which is enclosed with the spiral jar. It radiates an elegance and refinement that is heavenly and timeless. In perfect condition with a signed box, 31.3cm.tallx23cm, stamped on base.
