When I viewed a past Japan Ceramic Society Award-Winner's exhibition in Tokyo I was enraptured with a set of five hakuji-white porcelain faceted yunomi by Maeta Akihiro (b.1954). The form of each was perfection and the feel satin smooth; I knew tea would be like liquid jade within.
