Yamamoto Izuru(b.1944)is the fourth son of the late Bizen Living National Treasure Yamamoto Toshu. Izuru's known for his interesting forms and studies on clay and the combining of different clays to bring out different colors on pieces, this is called shusai. Ajiki Hiro's chawan are a world onto themselves; or as Raku himself sometimes say a cosmos. Veteran Bizen potter Yoshimoto Shuho(b.1938) looks back to the fifth through twelfth centuries for his inspiration. That's when the Sueki tradition was introduced from Korea using an anagama.
