Wakimoto Hiroyuki (b.1952), along with contemporary and fellow Isezaki Jun (current Living National Treasure for Bizen) lineage apprentice Kakurezaki Ryuichi, is one of the major proponents of Bizen's Heisei Revolution. Hoshi Masayuki's works always have a simple elegance about them in form and 'clay flavor.' Hoshi studied with Mori Togaku starting in 1979 after studying philosophy at Joshi University in Tokyo.
