Thanks to all who have viewed the Shimura Noriyuki online exhibition and it will be online until December 4th. Back to a more traditional style, here's a shallow open-faced, light Shino chawan by Kato Shunbu (1886-?). It has been used and thus some patina can be seen in the Shino glazing. On the underside is swiftly brushed on reeds in iron underglaze. In perfect condition with a signed box, 5cm.tallx15.2, stamped Shunbu on base.

As late autumn winds blow here in Japan, the world around has
become a seductive and gorgeous world of color. A blessing to
be alive to see, enjoy and be part of. In these days of seasonal
and mindful change I wanted to share an artist
whose work matches the season, the season of color and the season
of inward and outward change. His name is Shimura Noriyuki.
