This is something out of the ordinary for us, yet I must say I have always liked red Kutani dating from the Meiji period on. Don't believe me, have a look here: e-yakimono.net/html/kutani-sv.html
This plate is from a private collector in Tokyo who is letting go of some pieces, mostly shuki and sorts, like that grand Sakuma listed a few weeks back. Anyway, I will not write much other than to say the plate is a fine example, have a look at the photos, very deftly painted that is clearly seen. The label says the potter was Inoue Tougen. Also the piece comes in an old box, in perfect condition, 4cm.tall and 18cm.wide, signed on base. New blog entry today too....
