Shigaraki Bucket Form Vase by Takahashi Rakusai IV

Here is a Shigaraki bucket form vase by veteran ceramic artist Takahashi Rakusai IV(b.1926) that shows a classic Shigaraki firing and fine kinose clay. The Takahashi kiln is one of the oldest and most important in Shigaraki, it's there that the late, great Koyama Fujio fired many of his Shigaraki pieces. In perfect condition with a signed box, 26cm.tallx18.5, signed on base. Some people place crushed ice in such buckets and use them for wine coolers or placing sliced fruit, etc..on top. (Please note Robert is away until Dec.19th and may be slow in replies. For our regular clients please email Yukari for urgent matters.)
