Printed in 1997, this deluxe two-volume set looks at 21 ceramic artists divided by tradition and sculpture; Vol. 1 explores the works of Shimada Koichi, Abe Anjin, Shima Takemi, Tanaka Sajiro, Furutani Michio, Tsujimura Shiro, Harada Shuroku, Okazaki Takao, Suzuki Goro and Raku Kichizaemon XV and is 307 pages. Volume II has Miwa Ryosaku, Kato Kiyoyuki, Koie Ryoji, Fukami Sueharu, Hoshino Satoru, Ohira Kazumasa, Nakamura Kohei, Akiyama Yo, Mori Tadashi, Miwa Kazuhiko and Saito Toshiju and is 335 pages. Each set is in Japanese and English with essays by various critics and also each artist has many color photos of their works as well as brief essays. A slip cover is included--although the editor may have been let go for the title slip--and the set is in perfect condition; list price is 47,600 yen.
