This is the largest work of the current ten pieces we have by Hasu Yoshitaka--please see preview photos of the others in listing 735504. The rounded box form reminds me of the bold ones that Tsuji Seimei made in the 1980s. Hasu's box has the same energy yet with a completely different glazing scheme, here of ash glazes and iron underglaze creating a dark, mysterious landscape. Hasu's way of glazing is very unique and instantly recognizable. A museum piece in perfect condition, 23cm.tallx35x35, it weighs a little over 11kg, signed on base, with a signed box. Other Hasu works previews in the aforementioned listing gladly sent on request.
