We've offered a few Murata Gen chawan in the past yet this is the most otonashi or subdued-quiet one ever. Although it does show Murata's dynamic brush-splashes the color tone is softer and there is less iron glazing than on most. Of course when he does a Karatsu style, like the other Murata chawan we have listed, there is no Mashiko-ness to the glazing. This chawan does use a nuka and tetsu-iron glaze and is a perfect chawan for any season. In perfect condition with a signed box, 8.5cm.tallx12.5cm.wide, stamped 'mu' on base.
