Shigaraki Tsubo-Jar by Sugimoto Sadamitsu
As like the very good Crowded House song 'Four Season's in One Day,' this Shigaraki tsubo jar has four seasons as the tsubo turns. From a dark winter's night to a light spring day, the tsubo changes seasons with each turn. Made by celebrated Shigaraki potter Sugimoto Sadamitsu (b.1935) it also displays a fine firing and traditional 'cypress fence' pattern around the neck. Great for autumn flowers, in perfect condition, signed on base, 33cm.tallx26.5, no box and thus this very reasonable price.
