Shizen-Yu 'Shrine' and Lidded Jar by Yoshisuji Keiji

Each of these two heavily crusted natural ash-glaze (shizen-yu) jars were fired multiple times in Yoshisuji Keiji's anagama. As noted before, Yoshisuji is heavily influenced by Japanese Buddhism and Shintoism and one jar here is from his 'shrine' series, while the other has applied arabesque designs from his sutra container series. These two are smaller than ones we offered in the past and good desk sizes; 15cm. and 18cm. tall x 11.5 and 10.5cm.wide; there are some firing cracks under the lids, these do not effect the piece and do not show on the lid top.
